Direct from the German Parliament comes an app that provides up-to-date information on the topics addressed by the Bundestag, its Members, and committees, as well as services offered to visitors. Please be aware that the app is only accessible in German.

The app greets users with articles and background details on the significant debates happening within the Bundestag.

Live broadcasts of plenary sessions and public committee meetings are available. During plenary sessions, "Plenum/TV" directly transports you to the plenary chamber, offering insights into ongoing parliamentary discussions, current speakers, and agenda topics. Users can engage with live debates through audio and video streams. Smartphone or tablet users will receive prompt updates on speakers and agenda changes.

When plenary sessions are not in progress, "Plenum/TV" presents upcoming agendas, debate schedules, and outlines of the Bundestag's functions and structure.

Parliamentary Television archives recordings of past public committee meetings, hearings, and plenary debates for viewing.

The "MdB" section profiles all Members of the German Bundestag. It features photos, biographies, disclosed external engagements and earnings, insights into committee memberships and other parliamentary bodies, as well as contact information.

The Bundestag's committees are integral to its operations. They draft legislation, oversee governmental activities, and address critical contemporary topics. The "Ausschüsse" section delineates the responsibilities of each of the 23 permanent committees and any investigative committees. It includes member lists, committee chairpersons, discussions on committee topics, work progress reports, and public meeting recordings.

The German Bundestag prides itself on being an open institution that receives over 4 million visitors annually. Accordingly, the Bundestag app features a dedicated section for visitors ("Besuch"). Here, visitors can learn about observing plenary sessions from visitor galleries, attending chamber lectures, participating in guided tours encompassing political, historical, artistic or architectural themes, exploring exhibitions, or ascending the Reichstag Building's dome. Notably, all services by the Visitors' Service are complimentary.

Offline access provides information on Bundestag Members, committee backgrounds, and visitation details. Users can download specific articles for offline perusal to keep favored content readily accessible regardless of connectivity status.

A recommend function ("Empfehlen") facilitates sharing information with acquaintances by forwarding articles or videos via text message or email.

The Menu button in the top right corner enables data updates ("Daten aktualisieren"). In settings ("Einstellungen"), users can specify update frequencies and adjust other app preferences.
